Walkers should be aware of a temporary footpath closure in both directions from Temple Farm. Hertfordshire County Council’s notice covers Footpaths Bengeo Rural 004, Bengeo Rural 003 and Sacombe 011.

The affected section runs between Footpath 37 and Bridleway 12, an approximate distance of 2,400 metres. The notice prohibits pedestrians from using this section to allow utilities works to take place.

The notice states that the section will be closed on or after 28 September 2026 for up to five months, when signs are in place. Please follow the closure signs on the ground.

The alternative pedestrian route is to the north along Bridleways 012, 005, 001 and 035. On the notice’s map, the closed section is highlighted in pink and the alternative route in green.

For queries about the works or closure, the notice lists Nadia Wheadon on 07442 404406, or Hertfordshire County Council’s Countryside & Rights of Way Officer Amelia Eatough on 01992 658021.
